In its first Super Four Game of Asia Cup 2025, Suryakumar Yadav -led India National Cricket Team faced against the Pakistan National Cricket Team.
The high-profile match between hardcore rivals India and Pakistan was hosted by Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, September 21.

To win the toss and bowl first in the match, India limited Pakistan to 171/5. Shivam Dubey was a bowlers pick for India as he took two wickets, while Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav also got one wicket each.
Chasing the target, Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill demolished Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and other bowlers. After exiting, Tilak Verma and other batsmen moved to end the match in 18.5 overs as India won by 6 wickets.
Speaking during the performance ceremony after the match, India captain Suryakumar Yadav appreciated his comrades after the first 10 overs. He said:
“The way boys are stepping into every game, this is making my job very easy. The boys showed a lot of character. They were calm after the first 10 overs (India’s bowling innings).”

Jasprit Bumrah made a forgetful outing against Pakistan, as he scored 45 runs in 4 overs, but was fiercely defended by his captain, Suryakumar Yadav. He said:
“After the drink, I told them that the game starts now. It’s okay, it’s not a robot, someday he will have a bad day (talking about Bumrah). Dube dropped us out of the situation.”
Suryakumar Yadav appreciated Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma for his performance and talked about India’s fielding blunders. He said:
“They complement each other really well (Abhishek and Gill). It is like a combination of fire and snow. After the first innings, our fielding coach – T Dileep has emailed all the players who had butter fingers today.”
How did India enter the Super Force of Asia Cup 2025?
Team India, as expected, was perfectly effective in the group stage of the Asia Cup 2025 and won three back-to-back to make it on the super four stage.
Suryakumar Yadav’s team finished number 1 in Group A, with six points in their bag, and an incredible net run rate of 3.547, which was the best in both groups.
India started the competition on 10 September by reducing the United Arab Emirates, as they registered a 9-verse win with 93 balls.

Then, on 14 September, he destroyed the hardcore rivals Pakistan and won 7 wickets with 25 balls. In particular, left -arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav won the Player of the Match Award in both matches to take a total of seven wickets.
In Blue’s last group stage game, men were against an enthusiastic Oman side, which gave a good competition to Suryakumar Yadav -led team.
Even though India was quite casual in the game, Suryakumar slot himself at number 11 and using eight bowling options, Oman chased the target and gave a big fear. However, India bounced back in the final stages of the match to win a 21 -run win on 19 September.
