India won five wickets in a nail-beeter at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday. Rinku Singh broke a border with Haris Rauf in the final to guide his team to win. Like the last two encounters between the parties in the tournament, victory was seen with controversies.

The post -match presentation delayed an hour. Team India celebrated its victory without claiming the trophy. The Indian side refused to accept the award from Mohsin Naqvi, who serves as the internal minister of Pakistan, citing his previous controversial statements and social media positions.
Male Emirates Cricket Board Vice President in Blue wanted to get the trophy from Khalid Al Zaroni. However, Naqvi left the stadium with silverware, leaving the champion to celebrate without his official award.
Two Indian players, Tilak Verma and Abhishek SharmaTournament received individual awards from sponsors, but the main function ended prematurely. Earlier in the tournament, India also refused to join hands with Pakistan players during the final.

Talking to the Indian Express, Suryakumar Yadav said that his team did not delay the presentation after the match. He said that the players stayed out and did not go to the dressing room. Yadav also said that he left Mohsin Naqvi with the trophy.
“We did not close the door and sit inside the dressing room. We did not wait for anyone to present,” Suryakumar Yadav Explained the Indian Express.
He said, “Take the trophy brother Gay Woh (he ran away with the trophy). That’s what I have seen. I don’t know, some people were making a video of us, but we were standing. We did not go inside.”

Suryakumar Yadav said that TeamMohsin Naqvi was refused to accept the Asia Cup Trophy, which was a decision on the ground under the BCCI or government’s instructions. He emphasized that no official had directed the team regarding the trophy.
“First, let me clarify it, no one from the government or BCCI told us anything throughout the tournament that if someone gives a trophy, we will not take it. We took that decision on our own on our own.”
He said, “They (ACC officers) were standing there on the stage, and we were standing down. I saw them talking on the stage, and I do not know the details of their chat. Some people in some crowds started boiling. And then we saw someone who was taking a trophy to their representative and ran away,” he said.
Meanwhile, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia confirmed that the board would file a formal complaint against Mohsin Naqvi to take the Asia Cup trophy. Saikia described Naqvi’s actions as “unsafe” and hoped that the trophy and medals would return to India.
