“In my opinion, the last time Shubman Gill played a T20I for India when we went to Sri Lanka. When I was a leader, he was the vice-captain. This is where we started a new cycle for the T20 World Cup. “He is in the squad and we are happy to find it. This is the first big tournament we are playing after the T20 World Cup. We have played some biparts, but it’s a good tournament to test ourselves. “Sanju was playing because Shubman and Yashsvi were not available at that time. So Abhishek’s performance made it difficult to leave him clearly. Also, his bowling is easy. But, as I said, he played T20 cricket last time.”
