Suresh Raina names two players whom MI should retain for IPL 2026

Raina stressed the importance of retaining Rohit Sharma, under whose captaincy MI reached unprecedented heights. “They should keep hold of him (Rohit Sharma); he has won a lot of trophies for them,” Raina said while talking to Star Sports.
Apart from Rohit, Raina also heaped praise on New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult, describing him as a “gun player” and someone whose left-arm pace brings unique value to the team.
“They should retain him (Trent Boult); he is a gun player. The advantage he has as a left-arm bowler is something you don’t get easily.” Raina added.

Mumbai Indians’ 2025 campaign: A season of ups and downs
The 2025 IPL season was a true rollercoaster for MI. The team started poorly and lost four of its first five games, but came back strong by winning six consecutive games and securing the fourth playoff spot with eight wins and six losses.
