The southpaw who was recently called a ‘national treasure’ was also named in India’s squad for the Asian Games 2026.

Now all eyes are on whether the left-handed opener gets a place in the playing eleven or not. If he plays, Vaibhav will create history as he will become the youngest player to represent India in international cricket, surpassing the great record set by the great Sachin Tendulkar.

Stuart Broad was surprised to see Vaibhav Suryavanshi

Ahead of his much-awaited India debut, former England fast bowler Stuart Broad said he has been extremely impressed with Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s recent performances. Broad feels that Vaibhav is playing with incredible confidence and making difficult cricket look incredibly simple.

The teenager recently made headlines by scoring a brilliant half-century in 11 balls against Sri Lanka A. His explosive batting helped India win the final of the one-day tri-series. Broad admitted that he is excited to watch the youngster play during the upcoming T20 series in the UK.

Broad signed off by saying, “I really – I have to be really honest – I think I might be impressed by him. And do you know what? It’s just we’re not buying into the hype. I mean, you’ve obviously seen him; you’ve kept him. I’ve spent the week with Dinesh Karthik, who is one of the coaches, an assistant coach at RCB. And, of course, I think, seriously, what do you think about this guy? He It’s unbelievable.”
