Pacer Stuart Broad of the veteran England National Cricket Team has revealed how India’s national cricket team captain Shubman Gill woke up a demon at Ben Stokes at Lord’s.
Stuart Broad claimed that Shubman Gill made a big mistake by fighting Zak Croly, as it fired England captain Ben Stokes in the third Test match.

Shubman Gill vs Zak Croly heats up Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy
The first two matches of the five -match testing series between India and England were thrilling, but there were no hot spats between the players.
This changed to 3 of the third Test match at Lord’s in London in the last 10 minutes of the play. As Zak Crowley and Ben Docket arrived in the middle during the final stages of the game, they employed the time wasting strategy to ensure that India could bowl in only one over.
Seeing this, India Test Captain Shubman Gill was angry and after pulling him twice, Zak Croly was asked to “develop some f *** ING balls”, while Jaspreet Bumrah was walking in a bowl in the first over.
After two balls, Zak Crolly was hit by Jasprit Bumrah on a glove and the physio was called for treatment. This inspired many Indian fielders to move towards them by sarcastically clapping. Both Gill and Crowley pointed the fingers on each other in a warm exchange, and the Indian captain also made a ‘Impact Player’ gesture to make fun of the English opener.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Stuart Broad talked about how Ben Stokes led England in the ground in the third Test match of Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025.
Broad said that Ben Stokes was fired after seeing Indian players targeting Zak Croly and decided to give it back with oral attacks as if never had seen before.
Stuart Broad said, “Extremely competitive character, pressure scenarios, increase their game for large scenarios. Whatever he was fired in this game was the Indian team that was targeting Zak Crolly in that one. We have talked about it.”
“It was very funny. It was fantastic to see. But he did not like the fact that one of his players was going with the team on his own or with Ben Docket.
“And you can see it. I have never seen it, I can’t remember last time I have seen this England team on this oral and everyone. Archer, bowler, bouncer to ready, duck, bang.”
At the time of writing, Ben Stokes has three wickets in his name in the last innings and India is struggling. 154/9 193 chasing.

Stuart Broad further said that Stokes led England at day 5 and put the Indian batsmen under pressure. He said:
“Everyone is around him, telling him that he is here and he is under pressure. And he was ignited during three days that day. And it has brought a beautiful lead.
“And is leading Stokes. Stokes are bowling and chatting and saying,” Come on, you are under pressure. We can see you. Play a drive. All this is the kind of mental energy he is leading to Indian batsmen, trying to change his mindset, trying to close them. And his team is following him.
“And yes, it’s a very terrible day and a bit, it’s not? Let’s be honest, the first three days were slightly dull, but a day and a little slow.”
