Team India unhappy with Duke Balls

Duke Balls were found at the end of criticism in the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy as it quickly loses its size and disappoints the bowling team.

After India took the second new ball after 80.1 overs, it had to be changed twice after 90.4 overs and 98.4 overs in Lord’s Test match.

India’s captain Shubman Gill and Mohammad Siraj were also angry with the replacement ball and were engaged in hot chats with on-field umpire, Sharfudaula.

Pace Spearhead Jasprit shone with Bumrah original ball and took three wickets in his first 14 delivery, rejecting Ben Stokes, Joe Root and Chris Woakes, but became wicketless in the rest of the sessions. The second new ball was 1.869 degrees and on an average was a seaming of 0.579 degrees, while the replacement ball was 0.855 degrees and seam 0.594 degrees, according to Espncricinfo.

Cricket ball should be like a great wicket -keeper – Stuart Broad

Looking at the Indian players being disappointed with the tenderness of the balls, the legendary England Pacer Stuart Broad took the X to slam the Duke ball makers.

He said that Duke Balls now has a problem for five years, which is unacceptable, and there is an immediate need to fix the issue. In encompassing manner:

“Cricket ball should be like a good wicket -keeper. Barely seen. We are talking a lot about the ball because it is an issue and almost every innings is being changed. It is unacceptable. It seems that it has been 5 years now. The duke has a problem. The duke has a problem. They need to fix it. They must walk in 80 overs. 10. 10.” No. ,

The first thing is that Duke is a serious issue with ball – Nasir Hussain

Speaking on Sky Sports, former England captain Nasir Hussain admitted that Duke is a serious issue with the ball, but said that the balls are also often being replaced. It is not an ideal thing. He also realized that India is asking for a change in one ball, yet ‘Kiti Karna’ was a wrong call. Speaking on Sky Sports, he said:

“The first thing is that Duke is a serious issue with ball.

“The second point of playing here is that I think the ball changes often. I think we are getting a little valuable about cricket balls. In the history of the game, the cricket ball gets old, and the cricket ball softens. I think we are getting a little accustomed to the right cricket ball for 80 overs.”
