The board confirmed that Sri Lankan players have expressed their desire to return home due to security concerns

Even SLC issued a strong message to the team, clearly stating that the tour will continue as planned and no one is allowed to leave Pakistan without the permission of the board.

The players, support staff and team management have been instructed to complete the tour by staying together. “Sri Lanka Cricket has been informed this morning by the team management that a number of members of the national team currently touring Pakistan have requested to return home citing security concerns,” SLC said in an official statement.

The board further said, “Following this development, SLC immediately communicated with the players and assured them that all such concerns are being addressed in close coordination with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and relevant authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of each member of the touring party.”
