Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Match No. 45 runs was between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). It was the first game of a doubleheader on Sunday. It was an upset match as SRH had won the last match between these two teams this season. However, KKR got the better of the Orange Army this time and won the game by 7 wickets.
In the one-day game, Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat first as SRH made two changes, with Harshal Patel and Smrana Ravichandran coming in for Nitish Kumar Reddy and Harsh Dubey. KKR has also made some changes, with Tim Seifert and Ramandeep Singh replacing Finn Allen and Manish Pandey.
IPL 2026: SRH vs KKR Match Result:
After electing to bat first, Orange Army openers, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma got off to a great start and scored over 10 runs per over. However, Sharma was out on the score of 15; However, Head continued firing and kept the run rate up and brought up his half-century in 22 balls before being dismissed by Varun Chakravarthy on 61.
Ishan Kishan was also firing at the other end, and Heinrich Klaasen, who did not walk, was dismissed by a brilliant catch by Rovman Powell for 11, before debutant Smrana Ravichandran returned for four. The process of falling wickets continued and Chakraborty took three wickets for 36 runs.
Sunil Narine took his 200th IPL wicket playing for the solo franchise KKR as he dismissed Salil Arora and then Kishan in the same over for 42 runs. Cummins also failed to cause much trouble and was picked by Anukul Roy. He could not even play the full 20 overs and was out for 165 runs in 19 overs.
While chasing the target, KKR got off to a flying start, with Finn Allen smashing 29 off 13 balls and smashing it around the park, but was dismissed in the same over when he faced Pat Cummins. After this, Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi continued the flow of runs and KKR scored 71/1 in the power play.
Both of them made a partnership of fifty runs in 32 balls and achieved the figure of 100 runs in 9.2 overs. After this both continued to score runs and Angrakish completed his half-century in 39 balls. Rahane was out on the score of 43 runs and then Raghuvanshi was out on the score of 59 runs. The Knights won the match by registering three consecutive wins.
