Then there will be two test matches against Bangladesh. The first Test will be played from 19 to 23 November 2026. Then the next one from November 27 to December 1. As the Proteas will try to defend the WTC title.

‘Every ODI series from here is part of our preparation for that global event’- Foletsi Moseki

Pholetsi Moseki, Chief Executive Officer of Cricket South Africa, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming three strong cricket-playing nations in Australia, Bangladesh and England. These tours will undoubtedly attract fans to our stadiums from across the country. We look forward to a vibrant and competitive summer that will celebrate the best of international cricket in South Africa.

The domestic campaign will conclude with a three-match ODI series against England, which will also be part of the preparation for the major event. The matches are scheduled to take place from 10 January and end on 15 January 2027. A T20I series was also scheduled, but due to the busy schedule, both the managements have decided to reschedule it to a later date.

“Next season is important for both our Test and ODI teams. We have made a promising start to the new World Test Championship cycle, including a hard-fought 1-1 series draw against Pakistan and an impressive 2-0 win over India, and it is important that we continue that momentum and strengthen our position in the WTC table.

“On the white-ball front, our focus remains firmly on hosting the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2027. Each ODI series from here on out is part of our preparation for that global event, not only as proud hosts, but as a team that is committed to competing strongly on home soil,” Foletsi Moseki concluded his statement.
