Delhi Capitals Women won the toss, chose to bat first in the match and they fielded an unchanged playing XI. Royal Challengers Bangalore Women, on the other hand, made a change by bringing in S Meghana for Shraddha Poklharkar to further strengthen their batting unit.
The match between the teams was an intense one and it went to the very last over. In the end, Royal Challengers Bangalore Women held their nerves to clinch the WPL title by defeating the Meg Lanning-led side by 8 wickets.

Batting first, Meg Lanning and Shafali Verma took Delhi Capitals Women off to a flying start. The duo played an attacking brand of cricket and smashed the bowlers all over the park. It looked like Delhi Capitals Women were set to breach the 150-run mark, but it didn’t happen.
The Meg Lanning-led side faced a horrible batting collapse and they went from 64/0 to 113/10. Sophie Molineux was the one who started the damage as she produced an epic 3-wicket over to dismiss Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Alice Capsey.
The rest of the job was done by Asha Sobhana and Shreyanka Patil with the latter dominating with the ball. Shreyanka picked up the wickets of Meg Lanning, Minnu Mani, Arundhati Reddy, and Taniya Bhatia to become the leading wicket-taker in the competition. Delhi Capitals Women were bundled out for 113 in 18.3 overs.

Chasing a small target in the final match, Royal Challengers Bangalore Women openers Sophie Devine and Smriti Mandhana took their time and batted cautiously against the strong DC-W bowling unit.
The duo set their eyes on the target and were looking to complete the run-chase without losing any wickets. However, Sophie Devine was dismissed by Shikha Pandey after adding a 49-run stand with her skipper. Devine scored 32 runs off 27, with 5 fours and 1 six.
Smriti Mandhana was the next to fall as she was dismissed by Minnu Mani. The RCB-W star back in the hut after scoring 31 runs off 39 balls, with 3 fours.
In the end, Ellyse Perry remained unbeaten along with Richa Ghosh and steered the RCB franchise to their maiden title. Perry scored 35 runs off 37 balls, with 4 fours, and Ghosh, who smashed winning runs, scored 17 runs off 14 balls, with 2 fours.
