Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar was not selected for the ongoing Asia Cup 2025, but still, he managed to grab the spotlight with his excellence. Rajat Patidar is currently captaining the Central Zone in the final of the Duleep Trophy 2025 against the South region in Bengaluru.
Patidar won the toss and invited the south region led by Mohammad Azharuddin and batted first in the final of the Dalip Trophy 2025. Central region bowlers are on a roll; Kumar Karthikeya and Summary Jain, especially, have already shared eight wickets between them against South Africa.

In a moment of pure talent, the Central Zone captain Rajat Patidar pulled out one of the most breathtaking catches of the Dalip Trophy 2025, leaving players, commentators and fans in amazement. He made an extraordinary grip to dismiss Salman Nizar of South Zone from the delivery of Sarasah Jain.
The ball is growing rapidly by a length, forced to pursue Nizar, only to fly from the bat to the edge of the edge to the foolish point. At a foolish point, the fielder managed to get a hand on him, but it jumped towards the street, and here the Patidar showed the correct awareness and the reflex with lightning.
At that time, the Patidar launched himself further without wasting, without crashing on the turf in the entire athletic glory, diving down just inches above the ground to clean the ball. After the Central Zone got an important wicket, the commentator was in fear of Patidar for his efforts.

Summary Jain’s five -wicket rocks Duleep Trophy in South region 2025 finals
Meanwhile, Saranash Jain ended with five wickets as the Central Zone turned the south region for just 149 runs in its first innings in the ongoing Dileep Trophy 2025 finals. Jain bowled two youths and conceded only 49 runs in his 24 overs against the South region in Bangalore.

Rajat Patidar’s captaincy was the spot-on, as the night dumped the pitch by night, and the morning sky was closed in thick clouds, so the first bowling call was the right call. The seamers kept the things tired quickly, but once the spin took over, the real havoc began. Kumar Karthike opened flood attacks with two quick wickets, while Jain’s tireless precision stopped the flow of runs.
After lunch, Jain demolished the middle order in the middle of the south with a sharp turn and misleading variations, which were guessing the batsmen. Tanmay Aggarwal was the highest scorer in the south region, with 31 runs off 76 balls against the Central Zone at the summit in Bangalore.
The play will resume after the tea brake, and the Patidar and his team will be keen to take the maximum advantage of the Golden Start against the South region. The skipper will have a major responsibility on the shoulders, while they will expect a good start from Yash Rathod, Danish Malver and Akshay Wadkar.
