Shubman Gill was embarrassed on the world stage with a Shambolic record

Indian captain Shubman Gill has captured the captaincy of the Indian side from Rohit Sharma before the England Test series, but so far to win a single toss, which sets an embarrassing record in the history of Test cricket.

Shubman Gill led the India vs England series for example, as India level the series. India won the historic game at the prestigious Edgbaston Stadium for the first time, and then they won the final test at the Oval.

India will mark the second red-ball series under the captaincy of the West Indies Test series Gill. The Indian batsman has been in some invincible form in Test cricket, and is expected to continue in the latest home series.

Shubman Gill is yet to win a toss as an Indian Test skipper

Ever since Shubman Gill took over as the captain of the Indian side, Gill has never won a single toss as India’s Test captain. Gill’s fate does not keep much side in such examples, as he does not have a very impressive record in the toss even for Gujarat Titans.

However, Gill has lost all 5 toss in the England series and has now lost the 6th consecutive toss. Gill, however, as a skipper, won 2 matches and a Test ended in a draw in the last 5 matches.

Unlike his red-ball toss form, he has won 4 out of 5 toss as T20I captain for India. Although this toss did not impress him much, as he bowled earlier on the occasion, a very desired option.

After an unrelated Asia Cup, Shubman Gill is expected to drown in the Test series

Shubman Gill made his long -awaited comeback in the Indian T20I side in the Asia Cup 2025. The batsmen missed the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup, but are considered a possible opener for the next edition of the T20 World Cup as their names have often been promoted as India’s most reliable option as T20i Skipper.

Gill, despite returning to the top of the Indian batting order, could not perform very well with the best score of 47 in the Asia Cup, which came against Pakistan during the Super -4 Chase.

However, since returning to India, he has been working hard in the nets and is expected to find his lost rhythm at his favorite site, in the home ground of Titans in Gujarat at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Will Shubman Gill be rested for the Australia Tour citing his excessive charge?

Shubman Gill played in India Tour in England and was also part of India’s winning campaign in the Asia Cup, and played in all 7 matches of the season. He is next time in the Test series against the West Indies.

Australia follows the White-Ball series immediately, while it will be carried forward after a test series against South Africa. He will return to lead the Indian side against South Africa, but may be considered to leave from Australia’s tour. This step can be taken to manage his charge in a busy international calendar.
