The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will honor national cricketers during the Naman Awards 2026 ceremony on Sunday. Athletes like Shubman Gill and Smriti Mandhana will be recognized for their recent performances, and the board will also present lifetime achievement honors to three legends.

The Board’s highest award for long-term service to the sport is the Colonel CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award. The management selected Roger Binny, Rahul Dravid and Mithali Raj as the latest recipients for their contributions to Indian cricket in playing, coaching and administrative roles.

Former BCCI President Roger Binny played a key role in India’s 1983 World Cup victory. He finished as the highest wicket-taker during that campaign. Binny appeared in 27 Test and 72 ODI matches. He later coached the India Under-19 team to the World Cup title and also served as a selector.

Rahul Dravid scored over 24,000 runs and took over 400 catches in 509 international matches. He captained the national team to victory in the Test series in England. After retirement, he led the men’s team to the T20 World Cup title in 2024.

Mithali Raj changed the women’s game during her playing career. He represented the country in 333 matches across all formats. She holds the record of being the first female cricketer to score more than 10,000 international runs. Under his leadership, the Indian women’s team reached two World Cup finals.
