Shubman Gill was a happy captain when the India National Cricket Team crushed the England National cricket team in the second Test of the five -match series on Sunday, 6 July.
Speaking after the match, Shubman Gill revealed whether Paes Spearhead Jasprit Bumrah would play the third Test match against England led by Ben Stokes at Lord’s in London.

India won the second Test by 336 runs
India lost the toss and was invited to bat on a solid batting pitch. Visitors took the most advantage of this and scored a big score of 587 runs on the board in 151 overs.
Shubman Gill led India to the front with his record-breaking innings of 269 runs, which put him in history books. Apart from Gill, Yashsvi Jaiswal (87) and Ravindra Jadeja (89) were impressed for their 80s and put the English bowlers under pressure.
With the ball, India started well and reduced the three lions by 84/5, before Jamie Smith (184*) and Harry Brook (158) staged a comeback and took England in 407. Indian pacers Mohammad Sirraj (6/70) and Akash Deep (4/88) shared all 10 wickets between them and helped his team to lead 180-nuns.
In their second innings with the bat, India continued their batting talent and scored 427 runs for 6 before announcing and setting up 608 runs for the hosts. Gill scored a sensational 161 runs, while KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja hit the fifty fifty.
Meanwhile, Akash gave a deep glow with a 6-verse race in the previous innings, and India excluded England for 271, to win a 336-run win.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony after the match after winning the Player of the Match award, Captain Shubman Gill prepared his comrades to bounce back from the necklace. He said:
“Yes, of course. I think after the previous game we have spoke with all the things we had talked about. I think, the way we came back, the way we came back. The way we came back with our bowling and fielding after the first game.
“On this kind of wicket, we knew that if we get 400-500 runs, it would be enough to put them under pressure. Every sports will not be like a headingley. You will not leave many opportunities every day.”

Shubman Gill further talked about his personal form with the bat and said that he is quite comfortable with his game. He said:
“I am comfortable. I am definitely feeling comfortable with my game, and if we are able to win the match and series with our contribution, it will be great. As I said earlier, I want to play as a batsman, and want to go out as a batsman and decide as a batsman.
Finally, Shubman Gill confirmed that Pace Spearhead Jasprit Bumrah would return to India by playing with Xi for the third Test and labeled Lord’s as the world’s most reputable stadium. He said:
“Surely (Jasprit Bumrah will play in Lord’s). Very excited for this (third Test). Possibly the most prestigious stadium in the world. As a child, you dream of playing in Lord’s.
