The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the candidates for the Male Player of the Month on Wednesday, August 6, 6 August. Team India captain Shubman Gill and England captain Ben Stokes were nominated for the prestigious ICC Award with South Africa’s all-rounder Vian Mulder.

Shubman Gill between ICC Player of the Month Nominee for July
Shubman Gill had an extraordinary month during India’s Test series in England. He scored 567 runs in three matches at an average of 94.50. He scored 269 and 161 in the second Test. His tally of 430 runs in that match is the second highest in the same Test, only behind 456 of Graham Gooch.

Shubman Gill struggled in the third Test, but bounced back in the fourth Test at Old Trafford, where he scored the second innings century (103), which helped India to make sports. He played an important role in achieving 2–2 results in the series.
The 25 -year -old has stepped into the absence of Virat Kohli and provided very essential stability. Gill is a strong contender for the ICC Player of the Month Award, with a large score and their leadership properties under the pressure of Shubman Gill.
Ben Stokes to compete with Shubman Gill for the prestigious ICC Award
Ben Stokes gave all the dizzy performances during the July foot of the test series. He scored an average of 251 runs at 50.20 and took 12 wickets at 26.33 in just three matches. His contribution was important in helping England take a 2–1 lead before missing the final test at the Oval.
Stokes was named Player of the Match in two consecutive matches. He created a twin fifty decade at Lord’s to guide England for a 22 -run win over India. In the fourth Test in Manchester, he produced one of his best performances, taking five wickets and scored 141 runs, which helped England overall overall.
The England captain bowled long mantras and provided important successes to move the speed in favor of his team. His leadership proved to be important throughout the series. Stokes is also expected to be a strong contender for the ICC Player of the Month Award.
ICC Player of the MULDER for July earns nomination for Wian Mulder
Vian Mulder also earned nomination for the ICC Player of the Month for July after a brilliant all -round performance in the South African Test series against Zimbabwe. He captained the side for the first time in the format during the series.
The all -rounder caught the headlines with an unbeaten 367 in the second Test – the highest personal score by a South African in the test history.
Across the two -match series, Mulder scored 531 runs at an average of 265.50, including 147 in the first Test. He also contributed with the ball, taking seven wickets, including a four -wicket race in the initial game. His all -round talent gave him the Player of the Series Award.
