India National Cricket Team Test Captain Shubman Gill made a big disturbance to participate in shocking fashion during the fifth and final Test match on Thursday, 31 July.
Head coach Gautam Gambhir looked very disappointed to see Shubman Gill’s way of dismissal against England National Cricket Team at Kennington Oval in London.
Falls for 21 runs at Shubman Gill Oval
Gill lost the fifth consecutive toss as a Test captain, and India was invited to bat first in the match. Both India were forced to walk in the middle to 16th after losing themselves – Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul – early in the innings.

Shubman Gill once again looked brilliant at the crease on his arrival and was in total control. He played some gorgeous shots and set for another big score in the series.
Very soon, Gill crossed the 20 -run mark, and many hoped that he continued his streak to score in a century to cross 20 runs every time he crossed 20 runs.
However, the line ended in the fifth test, and Gill only blamed himself for his dismissal as he threw his wicket, and the speed moved towards England.
On the second ball of the 28th over, Pesar Gas Atkinson distributed a full distribution to Shubman Gill, who saved it towards the short cover area.
The ball was not far from Gas Atkinson, who quickly accused him in a follow-through, but Gill had already left for a sick run and was next to the English pace when he picked up the ball.
Even though Sai Reformson was trying to stop his captain from taking a single, he did not listen, and when he came back to his crease, it was too late because Gas Atkinson fired a good hit to shatter the stump and went for a celebration after the wicket.
Shubman Gill came out of 35 balls for 21 runs, and his innings was held with four borders.

Disaster for India – Ricky Ponting
Former England spinner Phil Toughnell, speaking on the BBC Test match special, was surprised to see Gill for a single. He said:
“He set like a jack rabbit. It is a large part of Fielding from Gas Atkinson and England, who receives the prized skull of Shubman Gill. It was like a greyhound outside the stalls. If it became a hit, it was always out because he was out.”
Meanwhile, veteran Australia captain Ricky Ponting said Gill made a big bang as there was no run. Speaking on Sky Sports, Ricky Ponting said:
“Disaster for India – there was no run – and dismissed cricket from Atkinson. He was cautious and was all the time to stabilize himself in the world, balanced and bang, chooses the middle stump! In this way, on a wicket, you don’t want to do a run out.”
