India National Cricket Team captain Shubman Gill has opened the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy on the availability of Pace Spearhead Jasprit Bumrah for the Manchester Test of 2025.
Team India suffered a 22-run defeat in the third Test against the team England to go below 1-2 in the five-match series. The next match of the series will begin on 23 July in Old Trafford, Manchester.

India loses a thriller at Lord’s
After losing the toss, India was invited to bowl first in the match and the Jasprit Bumrah -led attack did a good job in the first innings.
Visitors excluded three Lions for 387 in 112.3 overs, making sure that they buried England’s Bazball approach at Lord’s. Jasprit Bumrah, as usual, was the top artist from India, with his five-wickets, while Mohammad Sirraj (2/85), Nitish Kumar Reddy (2/62), and Ravindra Jadeja (1/29) also took wickets.
With the bat, India matched England’s 387 score in 119.2 overs – the ninth such example in Test history. KL Rahul played a brilliant knock of 100 runs and was the only center in the innings. Rishabh Pant (74) and Ravindra Jadeja (72) also batted brilliantly for India to help England’s first innings score.
In the third innings, the Indian bowling unit gave an incredible performance and limited the hosts to 192 on the fourth day to give the batsmen a great opportunity to win the Lord’s Test.
Washington Sundar (4/22), Jasprit Bumrah (2/38), Mohammad Sirraj (2/31), Nitish Kumar Reddy (1/20), and Akash Deep (1/30) did a good job with the ball.
In the final innings, the Indian batsmen gave a terrible performance, and despite a major fight with Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammad Sirj and Jasprit Bumrah, India fell out for 170.
Very proud – Shubman Gill on India’s efforts
Talking to Michael Attarton at the post -match performance ceremony, India’s captain Shubman Gill said he was proud of his team’s efforts and was to target the target. Shubman Gill said:

Shubman Gill praised Ravindra Jadeja for his extraordinary 61* in the last innings. He said:
“He (Jadeja) is very experienced, and did not want to give him any message. I think he was really batting well with the tail and I wanted to bat for a long time as long as possible to him and the tail-enders. At a point, we thought if we get a lead of 80-100, we could not think about the fifth day for the US that we could not move forward.”
Shubman Gill blamed the batsmen for his poor performance in the last innings for the defeat. Asked about the availability of Jasprit Bumrah for the Manchester Test, Shubman Gill said that he would make a announcement about it soon.
“I think the last one hour (yesterday), we could apply ourselves a little better, especially the last 2 wickets that fell. And this morning, the way they came out with plans, we were expecting a 50-rol partnership and if we had received a 50-rran partnership in the top order, things would have been easy for us.
He said, “I think we have played some very good cricket and I think it is going to be an exciting series from here.
