India’s ODI vice-captain Shreyas Iyer is recovering in Sydney after suffering a spleen and rib cage injury during the third and final ODI against Australia on October 25. Shreyas Iyer injured his spleen and rib cage while diving forward to take a difficult catch to dismiss Alex Carey.
Initially, it looked like a simple rib injury, but scans confirmed that the 30-year-old cricketer suffered a grade-two splenic tear, which led to internal bleeding. Iyer was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital, where doctors and Indian medical staff took quick action to stabilize him.

Stars behind Shreyas Iyer’s fatal injury!
On the other hand, renowned astrologer Greenstone Lobo has given a unique twist to Shreyas Iyer’s recent health crisis. He claimed that his life-threatening injury was part of the planets’ movements rather than a misfortune on the field.
Lobo suggested that Iyer’s birth chart showed that this painful phase was destined, but the worst was now over. The sports astrologer explained that the weak Jupiter in Iyer’s ascendant, which influences the body, became active as the planet gained strength in his ninth house, which is associated with foreign lands, and that is why the incident happened in Australia.
Despite the worrying nature of Iyer’s injury, Lobo described it as a temporary setback rather than a long-term problem. He described the Sydney crash as a passing “karmic phase”, indicating that bad luck has finally gone. Lobo estimates that there will be no hindrance in Iyer’s recovery.
