Shreyas Iyer suffered a shocking wrist injury in PBKS’s IPL 2026 opener against Gujarat Titans. The scary moment came during Punjab’s chase against Gujarat Titans on April 1, when Cooper Connolly’s 165 km/h rocket shot grazed Iyer’s right wrist at the non-striker’s end.

The Indian star required immediate medical attention on the field. Nevertheless he continued batting and scored 18 runs in 11 balls before being dismissed. As per a PTI journalist report, the latest medical scan has confirmed that Iyer is all clear to play in Punjab Kings’ next IPL 2026 clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 4 in Chennai.
