India National Cricket Team captain Rohit Sharma was allegedly playing with a hamstring injury during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 earlier this year. Despite not being fully fit, Rohit Sharma led India the glory of the title in Dubai.

Former Indian selector Jatin Paranjpe revealed that Rohit was struggling with the hamstring issue for about four to five months. Despite the lack of pain and rest, the experienced Indian opener continued to play and guide the team like a true leader.

Paranjpe said, “I thought he could play a little more because he was batting brilliantly. You know, he would score 10 or 15 or 20, but that hook shot – he was his trademark. Amazing.”

Before winning the 2024 T20 World Cup and the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, Rohit won the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy under MS Dhoni’s captaincy. As a captain, Rohit led India to two ICC titles and also directed Mumbai Indians to five IPL trophies.
