India’s Pesar Khalil Ahmed has ended his term earlier compared to employed with Essex. Khalil Ahmed signed a two -month deal with Essex County Cricket Club before the ongoing County Championship.
The Indian pacer was originally expected to feature 6 first -class matches and possibly list 10 games in a one -day cup for 10 Essex. However, after only two red balls appear in the game, Khele has returned to India for alleged personal reasons.
Khalil Ahmed finished the Essex Stint quickly and returned to India
Khalil joined Essex in June after creating a strong impact for Bharat A, where he ran a 4-vicity against England Lions in an informal Test match. Essex had high expectations for left -handed pace, but things were not employed.

Khalil could play only two county championship matches for Essex and on average, he managed to take four wickets at 64.50, which was reduced by expectations. However, Essex expressed praise for Khalil’s efforts and supported India’s bowler’s decision to quit early.

Essex County Cricket Club said in a press statement: “Essex Cricket can confirm that Khalil Ahmed has decided to return home for personal reasons and finish his time with the club. While we are disappointed to leave it, we fully support Kheel’s decision and are grateful to the contributions made for our time.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fast bowler, who last played for India in 2019, has taken 15 wickets in 11 Odis. In domestic cricket, Khalil has been a consistent artist for Rajasthan. In an average of more than 30 matches with 60 wickets in 22 first-class matches, he remains a strong contender in India’s Red-Ball Circuit.
Now, Khalil is expected to be in the mixture for the upcoming Inter-Zonal Dilip Trophy 2025, marking the beginning of the domestic season of India’s red ball on August 28. His initial comeback from England will give him more time for the preparation for the upcoming domestic season of 2025-26.

Essex i Turnaround against Warvikshire
On the other hand, Essex is set to face the Warwickshire County Cricket Club in his next game at the County Championship at the County Cricket Ground in Chelmsford. They are currently undergoing a very bad patch, winning only three of their 14 matches.
The Essex side is currently ranked at the bottom of the south region in the ongoing County Championship. However, in his previous game, Essex scored 39 runs in Hov, behind Sussex with an innings and the third back-to-back century of James Colls in the tournament.
