Choreographer and digital manufacturer Dhanashree Verma has revealed that his marriage to Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal faced serious issues from the beginning. Dhanashree alleged that Chahal was involved in an additional relationship only two months after his December 2020 marriage, described it as a betrayal.
Chahal and Dhanashree first joined the Kovid -19 lockdown in 2020. The spinner enrolled in his online dance classes, and his bond soon blossomed in love, which led to their marriage in Gurugram on December 22, 2020. However, their marriage did not last long, and the couple are now divorced.

Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal were divorced by the Bandra family court, Mumbai on March 20, 2025. She is currently participating in reality show Rise and Fall.
In a conversation with fellow contestant Kubbara SAT, Dhanashree revealed that she realized that her marriage was ruined within the first year, sharing that she discovered Chahal’s external participation in the second month of her marriage, a revelation that surprised Kubra.

Earlier on the show, Dhanashree Verma talked about rumors about alimony, called him wrong. She told hosts Aditya Narayan that her divorce was finalized about a year ago and said that she prefers to share personal matters only with those who actually matter to her.
Dhanashree said, “Officially, it has been almost a year. It happened quickly because it was mutual, so when people say alimony, it is wrong,” Dhanashree said.
“Just because I am not saying anything, you will say anything? My parents have taught me only to justify those who care about me. Why the time to waste is to convince those people who do not even know you?”
After his divorce from Dhanashree, Yuzvendra Chahal was seen participating in the final of the Champions Trophy in Dubai with RJ Mahwash, which provoked rumors of a romantic link. However, Mahawash has constantly stated that he is just a friend.

Last month, on the humans of Bombay Podcast, Dhanashree said that he tried hard in his marriage with Chahal. She said that she supported her ex -husband in the youngest and biggest cases.
“You have to make a effort. I know how much I stand for my partner, and everyone has seen. For the smallest or biggest things, I have gone there. Perhaps because of this, my feelings have come to the fore.”
Dhanashree is all set to start her Telugu film with a dance-centered film Akasam Datritawa. She first appeared in a Bollywood dance number in Magum Rao with Rajkummar Rao.
On the other hand, Chahal represented India in August 2023 last time. He was one of men in the Blue Squad, which won the 2024 T20 World Cup, but did not play any matches during the tournament.
