Dhoni was also among the select guests attending Khan’s birthday celebrations. This event was not a public party but was organized for close friends. Several film and television celebrities were also present, including Karisma Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Genelia Deshmukh and Rakul Preet Singh.

Former Chennai Super Kings opening batsman and batting coach Michael Hussey recently talked about this during a podcast. Hussey, who spent six seasons with CSK and won two IPL titles, said shisha was common during the IPL season.
“Dhoni is the most amazing person, his room is open 24 hours. So, anyone can go there and just sit. He’s got his lounge room, players just sit, they start talking cricket, some of them are like ‘sheesha’, you know, flavored tobacco stuff,” he said on Overlap Cricket last month.
MS Dhoni will play for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2026
MS Dhoni will return for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season after being retained by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the auction. CSK retained Dhoni for ₹4 crore under the uncapped player category ahead of the upcoming season.
Dhoni was forced to take over the captaincy after Ruturaj Gaikwad was ruled out due to injury after the initial matches of the 2025 season. However, CSK had to struggle a lot and finished last in the points table.
Dhoni scored 196 runs in 13 innings at an average of 24.50 and strike rate of 125.17. With new players like Sanju Samson and Karthik Sharma joining the team, it is unclear how many matches Dhoni will play in IPL 2026.
