Indian legends Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are unlikely to feature in the three-match white-ball series against South Africa A. After their brilliant performance in Australia, they will play the main series straight away.
Currently, India A and South Africa A are involved in a two-match red-ball series at the BCCI Center of Excellence. This series saw the return of Indian veteran wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant, who led them to victory on 2 November. The second match will start tomorrow from 6th November.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli likely to miss India A vs South Africa A series
The India A vs South Africa A three-match ODI series will be played on November 13, 16 and 19. It is expected that BCCI will announce the India A team in a day or two.
Rohit and Virat were recently seen in action on the Australia tour, where they performed satisfactorily. According to Cricbuzz, the selectors have few plans for the series against South Africa A and they are unlikely to include either of the two legends in the squad.
Rohit Sharma top-scored in the Australia ODI series with 202 runs in three matches. Rohit played two brilliant innings of 73 and 121* runs in Adelaide Oval and Sydney. Virat Kohli finally scored a brilliant 74 runs after two initial zeros.
