In the second T20 match of the current five-match series, Team India had to face a crushing defeat against South Africa. After winning the first match of the series by 101 runs earlier this week, the Men in Blue failed to maintain the winning momentum and suffered a 51-run defeat in the second game as South Africa equalised.
South Africa, who were all out for just 74 runs in the first T20 match, batted first and made a challenging score of 213/4 in the allotted 20 overs. Quinton de Kock batted brilliantly for the Proteas and scored 90 runs with the help of 5 fours and 7 sixes in just 46 balls.
Players like Aiden Markram, Donovan Ferreira and David Miller also played important roles in taking their team to big scores.

In reply, India looked to be in no position to chase a big target and were all out for only 162 runs. They lost the wickets of both the openers – Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma – as well as captain Suryakumar Yadav inside the powerplay and could not recover.
Tilak Verma fought single-handedly for the hosts but his efforts were not enough to take the team to victory. The left-handed batsman scored 62 runs off 34 balls and was the only Indian batsman to reach the 30-run mark. For South Africa. Otniel Bartman impressed with the ball, taking 4 wickets, while Lungi Ngidi, Marco Jansson and Lutho Sipamla took 2 wickets each.
Irfan Pathan took a dig at Hardik Pandya:
Immediately after the end of the second T20 match between India and South Africa, former cricketer turned commentator Irfan Pathan took a dig at Hardik Pandya. The India all-rounder had a player of the match performance in the first T20I, but could not repeat his heroics in the second match.
Hardik Pandya failed to impress with both bat and ball in the match. With the ball, he gave away 34 runs without taking any wicket in 3 overs before being dismissed after scoring 20 runs off 23 balls.
As for Hardik Pandya not performing well, Irfan Pathan said on He also pointed out that Hardik Pandya failed to perform well because he did not move his feet on a difficult pitch, writing:
“It’s amazing how the game works. Just a day earlier, on a different pitch, Hardik was looking solid. But on a surface that offered something for the bowlers, his stand-and-deliver style was not working, because when the pitch lacks pace or bounce, you have to move your feet.”
Fans criticize Irfan Pathan for targeting Hardik Pandya:
This is not the first time that Irfan Pathan has taken a dig at Hardik Pandya. Earlier too, the former Indian all-rounder never shied away from targeting Pandya. And as soon as Pathan posted his latest message for Pandya, many fans were quick to slam him. Here are some of those responses.
I wonder where was your tweet in the last match when Hardik single handedly won us the game
By hand.It is very easy to blame someone for a match when the entire batting lineup, except a few batsmen, has buckled under pressure.

It’s amazing how he targets certain players, especially Virat and Hardik are always in his hitlist, any comments on Gill and Sky’s techniques? https://t.co/DipgeMDV8H

Is Irfan really taking a dig at the best white-ball all-rounder?
A pitch where one team was all out for 74 runs and all the other batsmen of the other team scored less than 140 runs while Hardik was striking at 210 runs???
Hoping for better https://t.co/VWWq5uW25f pic.twitter.com/sJ26Me9BdS

I have Irfan Pathan story. He is truly the coolest celebrity I have met. I don’t know what happens to him when the topic is Pandya Brothers https://t.co/jh6tHjzgeI

He hates Hardik, well, that’s obvious. But when their description of everything is so wrong, how can anyone take them seriously? https://t.co/S5q28du2UI

wtf????? I have never seen a bigger joker than Irfan Pathan, this man really waits for Hardik Pandya’s failure.
Just out of hatred he is describing tonight’s pitch as favorable for bowling and the pitch of the last match as flat whereas the reality is exactly the opposite.
Hardik really scored… https://t.co/088kLwwO7v

I am sure he has an agenda against Hardik because the way he said it is ridiculous. Also there is no mention of Hardik when he was the match winner in the last game. What a partisan agenda driven fraud you are https://t.co/Uw90qCEjIW
