When Shoaib Akhtar was asked in a live television debate how to get the team out of the mud where they have been stuck for a long time, he looked very angry. The former Pakistan fast bowler said that the team has the necessary resources, which are mostly used in the wrong way.
Showing his full support to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Akhtar admitted that Mohsin Naqvi is the last hope for the team. According to him, only Naqvi has the ability and power to convert all the efforts into a trophy-winning moment.

The legendary Pakistani player continuously showed his support towards Mohsin Naqvi. According to Akhtar, Naqvi is the most powerful chairman after General Tokir Zia. He has everything it takes to shape the team to win the tournament. But for some reason the results are not coming as expected. Akhtar targeted the cricket board for repeated failures.
“Look, I am in favor of Mohsin Naqvi, okay? I think he is a great person. He will be a great person. Whatever I have heard about him, I think he is a great person. But what is he doing? Look, the powerful president… after General Tokir Zia, I think Mohsin Naqvi is the most powerful president. Okay?”, Shoaib Akhtar said.
He further added, “His position is very good. He has the resources. He has the strength. If he can’t make his management, and you are losing qualifiers in 4 tournaments. Then, I am telling you, there is something seriously wrong within the board.”

The former cricketer believes that Mohsin Naqvi is surrounded by the wrong group of people on the board. Naqvi, who probably doesn’t know much about cricket, is getting wrong inputs from some PCB officials, just to look bad. Akhtar stressed that Naqvi is the last hope for Pakistan cricket.
“I understand he doesn’t know much about cricket. And I understand that. But he wants to do well. But is he asking for the right help? No, he is not. My request again to the chairman is… Sir, please try to understand”, Shoaib Akhtar said.

The team they are building for you… they are not doing you justice when it comes down to it… even if you want to do well, they are not letting you do that. Who are these people who are not letting you do well? And I am telling you right now, he is the only last hope for Pakistan cricket, who is Mohsin Naqvi”, Akhtar concluded his statement.
