The India vs Pakistan 2026 T20 World Cup match has once again been one-sided in favor of the Men in Blue. Suryakumar Yadav and his men extended their lead to 8-1 in the ninth meeting against their neighbors in the T20 World Cup format. The overall record of India vs Pakistan in the World Cup is 16-1 in 17 matches.
After each match, Team India’s dressing room honors its players with individual awards as influential players of the match. India has been practicing this since the beginning of the 2023 ODI World Cup and it is continuing till now. After the India vs Pakistan match, the Impact Player award was presented to all-rounder Shivam Dubey.
Shivam Dubey, India’s star all-rounder
Shivam Dubey made important contributions with the bat against the Men in Green when India were at 126/4 in 15 overs. He played the innings with controlled aggression and scored 27 runs in 17 balls, hitting three fours and a six at a strike rate of 158.82. The all-rounder also took two catches of Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan off the balls of Kuldeep Yadav and Tilak Verma respectively.
Physiotherapist Yogesh Parmar honored Shivam Dubey with a medal. After receiving the medal, Shivam Dubey said, “Thank you. It was an important match, as he said, I played an important innings and took two catches, it felt really good, and thanks to Dilip sir. He is my fielding coach, he is my inspiration. Thank you.”

Shivam Dubey also played an important innings in the last match against Namibia on a difficult wicket at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi, where he scored 23 runs from 16 and came to bat in similar conditions as last night.
Pakistan had to lose the match due to a mistake in the toss.
Talking about the match, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first. India made two changes with Abhishek Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav replacing Sanju Samson and Arshdeep Singh. Despite Abhishek Sharma being dismissed for a duck, it was Ishan Kishan who thrashed Pakistan bowlers all over the pitch.
When Kishan was batting, it seemed that India would cross 200 runs and the wicket looked different. However, the Men in Green got some control in the middle overs after Kishan was dismissed for 77 runs in 40 balls. They restricted India to 175/7 in 20 overs.
Pakistan, chasing on a wicket that was entertaining and turning, never came close. Since they lost their top order inside the first two overs, the score was 13/3. Wicketkeeper Usman Khan’s crucial 44 runs helped them cross the 100-run mark.
India is above Pakistan
Except Usman, no batsman could cross the score of 30 runs, a total of three batsmen scored in double digits. Pakistan’s batting order collapsed one after another like a pack of cards. He was out on the score of 114 and India won the match by 61 runs.
India’s win helped them qualify for the Super 8, and they have lost just 1 match and won 25 matches in the last four ICC events since the 2023 ODI World Cup. They will face Netherlands on Wednesday at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
