An FIR has been lodged against Punjab Kings (PBKS) all-rounder Shashank Singh and his father, who are accused of using abusive language and physically assaulting their newly appointed cook Vipendra Singh Tomar.

As the news spread rapidly on social media platforms, the cricketer himself released an official statement regarding the allegations. Shashank Singh claims that the allegation of taking his newly appointed cook hostage is completely false.

According to the cricketer, Vipendra Singh Tomar, who got the job by pretending to be a cook, had the intention of theft. Shashank Singh also said that Vipendra Singh Tomar lied by calling himself a cook.

“No, we did not hold him hostage… He actually came claiming to be a cook, but he was not a cook at all. He did not know how to cook; he came here just to have fun, take videos and pictures and even go to my room,” the cricketer told news agency ANI.
He said, “Since he was doing such things, I suspect he came with the intention of stealing. We are very fortunate that from the investigations we have done so far, nothing has been stolen.”

The allegation is that he also snatched the phone from the cook.
It’s true that there were videos and pictures of the house on his phone, so my mother deleted them because they were too personal… The police have not contacted us yet. When we caught him taking pictures and videos, my sister suggested dialing the number 100. But she pleaded, and I let her… It is possible that someone could make such allegations against me… I believe that anyone who knows me knows that physical altercation is completely out of the question for me. I also hesitate to use foul language, so I definitely can’t do something like that. I don’t think I need to offer any justification for this
