The incident left the Pakistan T20I captain extremely disappointed and since there was no valid reason to drop him from the playing combination, the fast bowler reported the matter to the anti-corruption officer.
Shaheen Afridi was reportedly about to leave Sri Lanka and the franchise league on an immediate basis, but the franchise apologized to him and convinced him to remain with the team for the ongoing Lanka Premier League, but he stayed on for now.
