The second day of the second Test had a great start and captain Shubman Gill took the field along with centurion Yashasvi Jaiswal. The left-handed batsman ended the first day on a high note, scoring 173* without any aerial risks and with complete class.
In the second ball of the 92nd over, like the previous ball, Jaiswal bowled a fuller ball towards the mid-off fielder, and Tangnarine Chadderpaul, who was standing a few steps ahead this time, bowled the ball towards the wicketkeeper’s end, and Jaiswal had no chance to return to his crease after being dismissed, but captain Shubman Gill did not react.
