The timing of the knock made it even more fascinating, as it came barely an hour before the start of the IPL 2026 auction in Abu Dhabi. After completing his half-century, Sarfaraz fell on the ground and did push-ups on the field itself.
Now, the Mumbai batsman’s bold and confident celebration instantly went viral and was widely seen as a clear sign for the IPL franchise. Notably, Sarfaraz is part of the first set of capped batsmen in the IPL 2026 auction and has set a base price of ₹75 lakh.
