Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are in trouble as they lost in-form batsman Urvil Patel inside the powerplay after the departure of Sanju Samson. CSK lost the wickets of Samson and Patel inside the power play.

CSK is in deep trouble
Due to two big setbacks, CSK could score only 57 runs in 6 overs. Sanju Samson gave a great start to the team during the first few overs of the match. As soon as Sanju was out, Chennai Super Kings, the home ground of the match, came into trouble. The team’s opener and keeper were out after scoring 27 runs in 13 balls with the help of five fours and one 6. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad is staying on the track, but his strike rate is below a hundred.
Urvill was the best possible batsman for them to increase the run rate during the power play. The young batsman played a stormy inning of 65 runs against Lucknow Super Giants on 10 May. So, for legitimate reasons, there were expectations from him in tonight’s match as well. But SRH’s fast bowler did not allow the batsman to spend much time on the track. Urvil scored 13 runs in 8 balls.
Chennai Super Kings chose to bat first
It was CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad who won the toss and decided to bat first against Sunrisers Hyderabad in this must-win contest. It is important for both the teams to win this match.
However, SRH captain Pat Cummins didn’t look too unhappy at being asked to bowl first.
“You know, it’s T20 cricket, IPL, you have to buy into a certain style, even if it doesn’t work every night, and I think our guys have done that really well. But that is your strength. You have to support your potential. The mood is very good. We know the way we play probably won’t work every single game, but it’s going to be exciting. So, we feel like that’s our best style, so we’ll just keep leaning toward that aggression. We might have had a bowl, but who knows, so not too worried,” Pat Cummins said at the toss.
