On September 14, with just one day to go before the much awaited India vs Pakistan match in the Asia Cup 2025, the men’s training session in Blue in Dubai has given fans a major indication about their serious preparation and the place in Sanju Samson’s playing XI.
Sanju Samson has played the first Asia Cup 2025 game against UAE as a wicketkeeper-better. However, Kerala Star was dropped in the order of batting after Shubman Gill returned. Gill opened with Abhishek Sharma during India’s nine -wicket win over UAE.

The right -handed batsman did not get a chance to bat against the UAE. Now, India’s practice session has dropped a big signal, as Samson did not participate in the batting drill and mainly focused on the wicketkeeping ahead of the much awaited Asia Cup 2025 Clash in Dubai on Sunday.

The absence of Sanju Samson in the batting drill has raised questions about India’s role in playing XI in the upcoming game against Pakistan. Interestingly, Sanju Samson and Gautam were involved in a long discussion during the serious session.
Sanju Samson mainly focused on wicketkeeping and came much later for batting practice. Jitesh Sharma only entered the nets after ending his session and starting his session with wicketkeeping, which has increased eyebrows about his participation in the India vs Pakistan struggle.

Interestingly, Arshdeep Singh allegedly spent a long time on a deep fielding drill before joining Jasprit Bumrah and Shivam Dubey. As Cricbaz said, Rinku Singh practiced with Shubman Gill, while Tilak Verma worked with Abhishek Sharma.
Pakistan’s spin scheme can cause trouble for India in Dubai!
Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar warned that India’s batsmen could have trouble with Pakistan’s spin-rice attack in the Asia Cup 2025 Clash.
Although known for fast bowlers, Pakistan coach Mike Hessen is focusing on spinners due to UAE’s spin-friendly situations.
Pakistan used four expert spinners and won by 93 runs against Oman, with Sam Ayub and Sufiyan Mukim wreaked havoc on the batting lineup. Manjrekar feels that this unusual strategy can challenge India’s batsmen.
He cleverly praised Pakistan using something new and using his resources, and this approach could surprise his staunch rival India in Dubai.
