There was silence as Sanju Samson got out cheaply against Rajasthan Royals (RR). Chennai Super Kings (CSK)’s latest big signing departed for just 6 runs off 7 balls at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.
All CSK fans were expecting to see a masterclass with the bat of Sanju Samson, who with his excellent form helped Team India win the 2026 T20 World Cup; In fact, they got a bag full of disappointments. RR pacer Nandre Berger clean bowled the star keeper-batsman, who came in to open the innings with skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad tonight.

It was a well-crafted outswinger from the South African pacer, which uprooted the right-handed batsman’s off stump. The seamer bowled the ball on the good length area, which hit the batsman and hit the stumps. Sanju became helpless as his legs were not moving anywhere.
