The student protests organized by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar area have been making headlines all over the world, and the cricket fraternity also joined the protest through social media handles after several former cricketers and their wives shared their views on the ongoing protest. Now former Indian batsman Sanjay Manjrekar has shared his views on this.
Sanjay Manjrekar has taken a stand in support of the students and others present in the protest. They have taken a dig at the ruling government for the issues which mainly include the leak of NEET paper which led to many students committing suicide, and thus all the protesters are demanding the resignation of the Education Minister.

“It’s not just about NEET paper leak [mainly the reason behind the ongoing protests]. It is a rebellion against the generally suppressed emotions in a democracy and against the brainwashing of the mainstream media. As a father of two, I know firsthand: suppressing and brainwashing today’s youth will never work,” Sanjay Manjrekar wrote in another post.

Shubman Gill stands with Jantar Mantar protesters
Sanjay Manjrekar is the latest person to comment on the matter, recently India’s ODI and Test captain Shubman Gill also showed his support towards the students by sharing an Instagram story.
He mentioned that every citizen of the country has the right to learn and also has great respect for the youth who are raising their voices, and believes that education is the only thing that has the power to shape the future of the country.

Not only these cricketers but Ishan Kishan, Yuvraj Singh and Shikhar Dhawan are also notable names who are sharing their views and support on the protest. Apart from them, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah’s wives Ritika Sajdeh, Devisha Shetty and Sanjana Ganesan have also shared their support for the students and women.
