Not just setting eyes on the scoreline, former Indian batsman Sanjay Manjrekar has identified Shubman Gill’s revelation as a batsman on this English tour. He further claimed that India is remembering its two veterans, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, but not their contribution.
India would not have produced the desired results in the series so far, as they are running the series 2–1 and will have to win the match at the Oval at any cost to level the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy jointly with the scorline and to secure the first Anderson-Tendulkar trophy with the host.
However, Shubman Gill has been a full masterclass of a batsman with many other Indian batsmen, who has also done a commendable job. KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Ravindra Jadeja follow Gill as the most run-songs in the series, as Indians capture the top 4.

As we see Shubman Gill here in a league of legends – Jonathan Trot
Shubman Gill and Indian batsmen’s stunning show in England have inspired Sanjay Manjrekar to demolish a true bomb, as they have rejected Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s needs as batsmen in the Indian team.
Talking to Giostar, Jonathan Trot said how India has managed to pressurize England despite a tremendous batting show with English batsmen.
Trot said in the post -match session, “If you are taking Joe Root out of the side or two experienced players like India have recently retired, it will be a very different scenario. I think India has given a big account of itself,” Trot said in the post -match session.
“They have kept the chain alive, and it is certainly interesting to see the mood in the bus in England bus when it goes to London in London than the Indian bus.”
He said, “As we see Shubman Gill in the League of Legends, as it is said, and of course there is an opportunity to go to the top of that kind of leaderboard, and I will not bet against it,” he said.
Shubman Gill has already scored 722 runs in the series, with 2 more innings left in the final test at the Oval. He is scoring just 16 runs from the previous record of 737 runs of 737 runs in the 2021 India vs England series. This is the highest run scored by an Indian batsman on an English tour.
Sanjay Manjrekar claims that India does not miss the Kohli-Rohit contribution
Former Indian batsman Sanjay Manjrekar has claimed that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s retirement has been done by two veterans at the right time, and they have identified their recent dip in the last few months.
Sanjay Manjrekar also told after two veterans retired after coming in contact with many young talents and left the zero of two confirmed places on the Indian side.
“Rohit Sharma was 10 average in the last two series, which he played, and Virat Kohli was 30 on an average in the last five years. So he probably was not easy to replace, but it was not that it was a huge loss. It was a huge loss. It was two very senior players, but there was no loss of contribution, because he was not giving that much contribution,” Sanjay Manjrakar explained.
India to play the decisive series in oval
The India vs England series has been a complete stringer, as it had an all-round Test action in a long series of one month. India has won a match in Edgbaston, while England have won the first and third Tests in Handingley and Lords respectively.
After the Manchester test ends into a draw, India is now in a winning position to avoid the loss of a series on English soil. This is the first edition of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, and will be important for both teams in all aspects of the match game at Oval.
