Pakistan captain Salman Ali Aga made a bold appeal ahead of the blockbuster T20 World Cup 2026 clash against India in Colombo on Sunday, February 15. Salman Ali Aga made it clear that he wants the India vs Pakistan match to be played in good spirit and without unnecessary tension.

When Salman Ali Aga was asked whether the Pakistan cricket team would be ready to join hands with India in the much-awaited T20 World Cup 2026 match in Colombo.
In fact, since Operation Sindoor after the Pahalgam attack in April 2025, no Indian team has followed the traditional handshake or had any discussion with Pakistani players.

However, Salman is hopeful of normal handshake and respect between the players from both the sides despite the intense rivalry. He also emphasized that the match is not decided by the luck of the toss but by the performance.
The captain further added, “We want the game to be played in good spirit. The game should be played as if it has been played from the beginning. The toss cannot decide the game. If you play good cricket, you will win. Cricket will matter; the toss will not matter.”
Salman rejects investigation into Usman Tariq before India vs Pakistan match
Meanwhile, Salman also issued a warning on mystery spinner Usman Tariq. He dismissed all the noise regarding Tariq’s bowling action and said that he has already been approved by the ICC. He claimed that too much propaganda is being done from India’s side.
Salman said, “I don’t know why there is so much talk about Usman Tariq. He has been acquitted by the ICC. India has promoted him a lot, but all this has no effect on him.”
