Although Suryakumar was fined by the ICC due to these statements, it seemed that it once again proved to be correct as India crushed Pakistan in the Asia Cup final to seal its 9th title in the history of the Asian tournament.

Pakistan captain convicted Indian cricketers for disrespecting cricket
As Pakistani cricketer Salman Aga faced the media, he said that India is not only insulting Pakistan, but is also setting a bad example for generations for the gentleman to enter the game. The match marked many bizarre events, such as the continuity of snowed handshake, no customary photoshoots, talking to different presenters in the captain toss, and finally refuses to accept the trophy.
Salman Aga complained, “They are not insulting us not shaking hands; they are disrespecting cricket. Good teams have not done what they did.”
“We went to pose with the trophy (photo shoot) on our own because we wanted to fulfill our obligations. We were standing there and took our medals. I don’t want to use harsh words, but they are very derogatory,” he clarified to poses alone with the trophy, Suryakumar Yadav refused to pose with the skipper.
However, Salman Aga was seen throwing the runner-up check after taking himself in the dice. The act was also found with serious criticism by fans who remained back to the presentation ceremony.
BCCI Secretary clarifies the reason behind India’s refusal of trophy
BCCI Secretary Devjit Saik has stepped up to give clarity on the issue after Indian cricketers refused Indian fans despite Indian cricketers refused to receive the Asia Cup trophy.
Suryakumar Yadav refused to take the trophy from the hands of ACC chief Mohsin Naqvi; Instead, he insisted that the Vice-Chairman of the Emirates Cricket Board handed over to the trophy. However, Naqvi erected her ground and did not agree to the word. He was also seen carrying the trophy from the ground after a melodramatic stagnation.
BCCI Secretary, Devjit Saikia has mentioned that India refused the trophy to Mohsin Naqvi as he is an internal minister within the Government of Pakistan along with the PCB chief. However, India celebrated happily even without any silver pot in its hand.
