Pakistan National Cricket Team captain Salman Aga has finally opened a no-handshake policy against men in Green after the India National Cricket Team in the Asia Cup 2025.
Salman Aga said that before the recent No-Handshake controversy in the Asia Cup 2025, he never saw two teams shaking hands, no matter how bad the situation between them is.
India humiliate Pakistan by denying handshake
During the first Asia Cup 2025 confrontation between India and Pakistan, Suryakumar Yadav & Company refused to join hands and humiliate men in green.
In the toss, Suryakumar Yadav did not congratulate his counterpart, and India refused to join hands with Salman Aga & Co. after winning a 7-verse victory in a group stage match.
Pakistan players kept waiting for the customary handshake, but the Indian players closed the door of the dressing room. After that, the PCB filed an official complaint with the ICC, with the entire defect on the match referee Andy Picroft for a no-handshke line and demanded his dismissal, but the ICC rejected it.
Then, during the Super Four Match between India and Pakistan, Suryakumar Yadav completely ignored Salman Aga in the toss, and after registering another major 6-cicat win, he refused to join hands with Pakistanis.
India and Pakistan will lock the horn with each other in the final of the Asia Cup 2025 at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, September 28, and the no-handhek policy is likely to continue.
No handshake is good for cricket – Salman Aga
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Pakistan captain Salman Aga slammed the Indian players to not shake hands with Pakistanis and said that it is bad for the game.
“As far as the handshek is concerned, I have been playing professional cricket at the under -16 level since 2007. I have never seen two teams joining hands during the match. Even my father is a big cricket fan, I have heard stories about the game.
“They never told me that anything like this happened in the past, that two teams playing cricket have not shook hands. I have always heard that there has never been any such thing on the cricket field. India and Pakistan have played before, when relations between the two countries were worse. Still, according to me, there is no handshake.
Salman Aga further said that both India and Pakistan would be under pressure in the finals, and they will do their best to defeat men in blue at the summit. He said:
“In the final, both teams will be under pressure. We will make every effort to win the finals. What the Indian media is saying has nothing to do with us.”
Agha also warned India, saying that she would have saved her best batting performance for the Asia Cup 2025 final against India. He said:
“We all know that we have not batted well throughout the tournament. Who knows, maybe we have saved our best performance for the final.”
