Pakistan’s innings
West Indies won the toss and after being selected to the bowl, Pakistan posted a total of 178/6 competitive total in its 20 overs. The innings was anchored by a brilliant performance by opener Sam Ayub, who scored a brilliant 57 runs in 38 delivery including 5 fours and 2 sixes. In the middle order, he was well supported by Fakhar Zaman (24 runs 24) and Hasan Nawaz (24 runs 18). Finally, some significant delays of hitting from Faheem Ashraf (16 runs 9) and Mohammad Haris (1 to 1) helped the score to a challenging clan. For the West Indies, Shamar Joseph was a bowlers’ pick, took 3 wickets for 30 runs, while Jason Holder, Akil Hosin, and Romeoo Shepherd took each wicket.
West indies innings
In its chase of 179, West Indies formed a concrete partnership with openers Johnson Charles and Jewel Andrew. However, the game replaced his head in a single over from Mohammad Nawaz of Pakistan, who took three important wickets to leave the West Indies. Despite the fireworks for some time, the house side struggled to overcome this collapse. Jason Holder, only 12 balls (including 4 sixes), and Shamar Joseph, who scored 21 runs, made a brave attempt to bring their team closer, but very little, it was too late.
