Pakistan opening batsman Sahibzada Farhan participated in the popular This or That challenge in the “Who is the better batsman” category. The right-handed batsman ignored veteran batsmen like Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma and Saeed Anwar and instead chose Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad as his choice.
Sahibzada is currently playing for Dhaka Capitals in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The opening batsman has scored 20 runs in two matches at an average of 10 and a strike rate of 100, which also includes a golden duck. However, he will miss part of the ongoing BPL season after being named in Pakistan’s T20I squad.
WATCH: Sahibzada Farhan ignores Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma to choose Ahmed Shehzad
Sahibzada Farhan recently participated in the This or That challenge, where he was asked to choose between the all-time greats of cricket in a “winner will remain” format.
When Farhan was asked to choose between Saeed Anwar and Ahmed Shehzad, he paused for a few seconds. He chose Shehzad instead of Anwar and went to the next round. After this the opener continued to choose Shehzad instead of Virender Sehwag and Rohit Sharma.
In the final round, the 34-year-old batsman was asked to choose between Sachin Tendulkar and Shehzad. After a pause, Farhan told Shehzad the winner of this or that challenge. However, he said that Sachin Tendulkar is his favorite cricketer.
Here’s a video of it on X (formerly known as Twitter):

Sahibzada Farhan wants to regain form before Sri Lanka T20I
Sahibzada Farhan caught everyone’s attention during the Asia Cup earlier this year. He hit several sixes against Jasprit Bumrah and was one of Pakistan’s most consistent batsmen in the tournament, even though Pakistan lost the final.
After the Asia Cup, Sahibzada Farhan continued his good form in the domestic T20 tri-series. He scored 191 runs in the series at an average of 47.75.
However, the start of the Bangladesh Premier League 2025-26 season has been difficult for them. Farhan has scored only 20 runs in two innings so far. In the first match he scored 20 runs in 19 balls and in the next game he was out for a golden duck.
With Pakistan preparing for the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka, Farhan will be keen to find form again in the remaining BPL matches and regain his confidence ahead of international duties.
Ahmed Shehzad has been out of the national setup since 2019
Ahmed Shehzad has been out of the national set-up since 2019, and his comeback now looks unlikely. The right-handed batsman has played 13 Tests, 81 ODIs and 59 T20 matches for the Pakistan national team.
Shahzad has scored 982 runs in Tests at an average of 40.91, which includes three centuries and four half-centuries. He has scored 2,605 runs in ODIs at an average of 32.56, while in T20s he has scored 1,471 runs at an average of 25.80. He has been out of the team for the last five years due to inconsistency.
Shehzad last appeared in the Pakistan Super League for Quetta Gladiators in 2020. He was part of their title-winning team in 2019. However, he scored just 61 runs in seven innings during the 2020 season, dimming his chances of a return to the top level.
