Rishabh Pant incident
The Sahibzada Farhan incident reminded fans of similar scenes involving Rishabh Pant, who is famous for flying his bat during aggressive shots. In a Test match against England, the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman’s bat once flew almost 20 meters towards square leg while facing Josh Tong.
This incident made the Indian team laugh a lot and Jasprit Bumrah enjoyed this moment the most. Well, this was not the first time that Farhan had done this. In the 2025 Asia Cup, the Pakistani opener’s bat flew high in the air when he was dismissed by Indian all-rounder Shivam Dubey.
Sahibzada Farhan Ahmed joins Shahzad in elite list

After his innings, Farhan joined Ahmed Shehzad as the only Pakistani player to score a century in T20 World Cup history. Shahzad had scored 111* against Bangladesh in 2014. His innings is now the second highest individual score by a Pakistani player in T20 World Cup history.
The record for the highest individual score still holds in Shehzad’s name. Umar Akmal is third in this list with 94 runs against Australia in Mirpur in 2014.
Pakistan’s second highest score in T20 World Cup
Pakistan created history at the T20 World Cup 2026 as their total of 199 for 3 against Namibia in Colombo is now their second highest team score in the T20 World Cup.
His highest score is 201 runs for 5 wickets against Bangladesh in Kolkata in 2016. Other big scores include 191 for 6 against Australia at Gros Islet in 2010 and 191 for 5 against Australia at Mirpur in 2014.
Additionally, three different players have scored centuries in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026, which is the highest number of centuries recorded in a single T20 World Cup edition.
Farhan controlled the innings beautifully, mixing clean timing with aggressive strokes. Later, Shadab Khan finished the innings with two big sixes, taking the total score close to 200. Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus had a poor performance and gave away 16 runs in the last six balls.
