“I have settled for India 3–1. Many good performances were performed by individuals … Zaheer (Khan) played a role. I think everyone is coming together and then chipping at the right time makes a big difference. I still remember that we were celebrating in the dressing room, celebrating at the oval,” Sachin told ESPN Cricinfo.
“Such moments are with you forever. We are still talking about it 18 years down. I hope we are able to do this series too, so we can still talk about it under the line 20 years below the line.”
A lot of Jasprit Bumrah and … – Sachin will depend on Tendulkar
Sachin Tendulkar said that Jasprit Bumrah will be an important person in India’s bowling attack. He said that Bumrah would lead the pace unit and play an important role in India’s opportunities on the tour.
“I think the bowling attack will depend a lot on Bumrah and how other people support him. Bumrah, without any doubt, is going to be our strike bowler. Along with this, the rest of what I have experienced, how it is, Prasad is good.”
“Arshdeep Singh, Shardul Thakur, and Nitesh Reddy will be assistant bowlers. Harshit Rana, I am remembering some names, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav. I think the attack is a balanced attack. I hope we do something good.”
Jasprit Bumrah’s charge should be monitored throughout the England series
The charge of Jasprit Bumrah will be managed during the series. Chief selector Ajit Aggarkar confirmed that Bumrah has been advised to play back-to-back test after medical advice. The right -handed fast bowler retained a back injury during the Sydney Test against Australia in January.
Bumrah missed India’s Champions Trophy campaign but returned to competitive cricket for Mumbai Indians (MI) during the IPL.
Next to the tour of England, head coach Gautam Gambhir said that the team has not yet been finalized in which test Bumrah will play during the series. Bumrah features in three matches during the tour.
