Indian cricket veteran Sachin Tendulkar rang the prestigious Lord’s bell on Thursday, July 10 to kick the third Test between India and England at the prestigious Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Sachin Tendulkar becomes the fourth Indian, who has respect to ring the Lord’s bell.
Prior to Tendulkar, this was the honor of former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar, Sourav Ganguly, and Rahul Dravid. After ringing the reputed Lord’s bell for the first time, one of the greatest batsmen, Tendulkar, another unforgettable memory in the historic collection.

A video of Tendulkar, which has been in London since the first testing, inaugurated the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy for the Testing Series with James Anderson, on Thursday, the bell was played at Lord’s by fans and broadcasters on X (East Twitter) on Thursday, and now it is going viral.

Sachin Tendulkar’s new picture was unveiled at Lord’s MCC Museum
Meanwhile, a brand-new portrait of Sachin Tendulkar was unveiled at the MCC Museum at Lord’s on the day of the inauguration of the third test between India and England. Painting made by artist Stuart Piercene Wright, the museum does not have an image of a distinctive full-body like others.
Instead, this picture is a powerful close-up of Tendulkar’s head and shoulders, which makes it stand in the MCC museum. The artist used a picture at Tendulkar’s house in Mumbai 18 years ago and over time, converted it into a wide oil painting on aluminum, with an abstract background to represent the Indian batsman’s long -term heritage in the game of cricket.

This is now the fifth picture of an Indian cricketer in the MCC collection and is fourth by the same artist after Kapil Dev, Bishan Bedi and Dilip Vengsarkar. The picture will remain in the MCC Museum by the end of the 2025 season, after which it will be taken to the prestigious pavilion at Lord’s.

Sachin Tendulkar reacted to honor at Lord’s
Moving beyond this honor, Tendulkar placed a emotional note down on his X handle and shared many pictures from the occasion. He wrote, “I first visited Lord Lord as a teenager in 1988 and returned to the Star Cricket Club team in 1989.
I remember standing near the pavilion, soaking in history and dreamed quietly. Today, unveiling my picture at this place is a feeling that is difficult to keep in words. Life has actually come a full cycle. I am grateful and filled with amazing memories. ,

In particular, the MCC Museum is the second oldest in the world and currently there are around 3,000 paintings, and about 300 of them.
Tendulkar played for India from 1989 to 2013, scoring a record-breaking 34,357 international runs, with the next most of Kumar Sangakkara’s 28,016.
