Johannesburg will have 541 players including South African and International Stars at the SA20 season 4 player auction for September 9. Protiaz T20I captain Aiden Markram Quinton de Kock, Keshav Maharaj and other players will be expected to draw attention during the auction.
Prior to the list, more than 800 players registered for the auction were trimmed at 541. 300 South African and 241 foreign players have been shortlisted for the upcoming auction. The auction will be used to finalize its 19-member squads before the six franchise season, which is closed on 26 December.

Many red ball stars from South Africa are also included in the auction pool from ICC World Test Championship-Vigyan Squad, Kyle Verrane, David Bedingam, Vian Muldar, Lungi Cash, Tony de Jorzi and Dan Patterson.
Shakib Al Hasan was involved in the international lineup
Former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan, partner Bangladeshi Pesar Mustafizur Rahman, will join the international lineup. England’s Pacer James Anderson will be included by Alex Hales, Moeen Ali, Tom Ebel, Adam Rosington, Jordan Cox and Daniel Warl.
Other notable internationals include Australia Batter D’Arsi Short and New Zealand opener Dewon Conway, born in South Africa.
A new under -23 category allows franchisees to choose two South African players aged 23 or less at the beginning of the tournament. Growing talents such as Developed Brevis, Quena Mafaka and Endile Symelane are eligible under this category.
The franchise will fill the 19 -member squads with minimum nine South African, seven foreign players, two under -23 South African and a wildcard player.
The total budget for the auction is 131 million rands (about 7.37 million USD), including 84 slots available, which includes 25 for foreign players. The event will be streamful in India on Jiohotstar and the tournament’s YouTube and social media channels.
