Cricket South Africa (CSK) announced places for the upcoming SA20 2025-26 playoffs and final matches on Friday, 22 August. The Newlands Cricket Ground Summit Clash in Cape Town will host the Clash, while Kingsmade, Centurion and Wanderes are set to host the playoff fixtures in January next year.
Teams are currently preparing for the auction, which is scheduled to take place on 9 September. All six franchises will finalize their 19-players. Sunrisers Eastern Cape, who won the first two SA20 season, ended as runners up in the previous edition, while Mi Cape Town claimed his first title.

Durban will first host a SA20 playoffs, which will set the Kingsmade Cricket Ground to host qualifier 1 on 21 January. The top two teams of the league phase will secure a place in qualifier 1, and they can reach the final with a win.

The Centurion will host the eliminator on 23 January, while the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg will host Qualifier 2 the next day, determining the second finalist for the tournament.

SA20 League Commissioner Graeme Smith said last year’s Newlands matches were sold and hoped for the final on Sunday, which for the champion to be a fabulous weather, entertainment, and a vibrant atmosphere on Sunday.
Smith said, “SA20 season 4 is taking shape as an incredibly exciting summer of cricket, closing the day of boxing and running through the holiday period,” Smith said. “Last year, Newlands sold all five matches at the venue, and with being a final on Sunday, it establishes an incredible afternoon to crowd the great weather, entertainment and our season 4 champions.”
“Durban will host a playoff for the first time, and we are hoping that it will stimulate fans, especially because two best teams of the competition will play in Qualifier 1. We are excited to return to Centurion and Wanderers on Thursday and Friday night.

The announcement completes the tournament schedule. In particular, all group stages were already released. Fans can book their tickets for the upcoming matches.
Smith said, “The fans have been in the heart of our success in the last three sessions. I think with the league with the league during the holiday season, we will see a lot of interest across the country.”
The SA20 teams have revealed their maintained players, each franchise is allowed to be kept up to six, including a maximum of three South African and three foreign players. In particular, stars such as Developed Brevis and Aden Markram opted to enter the auction instead of retaining.
