India national cricket team assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate is likely to be leaving the Gautam Gambhir-led coaching setup, as the ongoing ODI series against England will be his final assignment with the team.
According to a Cricbuzz report published on Tuesday, the assistant coach’s departure will require approval from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and head coach Gautam Gambhir, with July 19 potentially being his last day within the Indian coaching staff.
Ryan ten Doeschate’s departure from India depends on Gautam Gambhir’s consent: Report
According to the same report, Ryan ten Doeschate has already informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) about his desire to leave the job and he will be leaving the job gracefully.
“Cricbuzz understands that he has already informed the BCCI of his desire to move on and has requested the board to relieve him. It turns out that there are a number of reasons behind his decision to step down, none of which have anything to do with job dissatisfaction, sources insist. However, what can be said with certainty is that if the separation ultimately happens – as is most likely – it will be an amicable separation. The end is by mutual consent. Will be cordial,” the report reads.
In another development, Dinesh Karthik has claimed that there is “conflict and rift” between Gautam Gambhir and Ajit Agarkar.
