According to the CSK captain, nothing is happening as the sorrows are piling up one after the other. He dropped a sitter off Anshul Kamboj and gave a big life to Sunil Narine.
Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad has had a poor performance with the Super Kings. His batting form has been a major concern for the franchise after failing to score runs despite opening the innings on five occasions.
The sad thing is that the CSK captain looked clueless on the field at a time when his bowlers were yearning for runs. This time, despite having a reputation as one of the safest fielders on the field for the Super Kings, he has missed a full sitter.
Ruturaj Gaikwad has added to their woes by removing a perfect sitter.
Chennai Super Kings had already taken good control of the game, with Anshul Kamboj hitting a powerful strike with the new ball in his very first over of the game. He dismissed the dangerous Finn Allen, who has also continued his streak of low scores.
Sunil Narine was promoted to open the innings with Allen, as Abhishek Nair would be looking to utilize his striking ability early in the powerplay. The West Indies batsman hit a six, but then the ball went towards the mid-off fielder.
Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was standing in that position, and he dropped what can be called the easiest catch for any international cricketer. However, lack of confidence may have been the reason, as Gaikwad denied Kamboj the second wicket. The captain gave early life to Sunil Narine.

Khalil attacked as soon as Sunil Narine was out in the next over.
Chennai Super Kings’ left-arm star bowler Khalil Ahmed is doing wonders with the new ball. The variety he produces with the new ball is truly extraordinary and the captain favored him for the third over in the match against KKR.
Khaleel bowled two economical overs to open the innings and then bowled an excellent yorker to Sunil Narine, which he chased down when Narine tried to create some space through the off side.
Narine took an edge of the ball despite full swing of the bat and the fielder caught it in the short third man region. Gurjapneet Singh also did not make any mistake this time and he tested his catch very well. It was a moment of relief for captain Ruturaj Gaikwad.
CSK’s poor performance continues on Chepauk ground
Chennai Super Kings continued their tense performance at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, the ground earlier known as their most prized ground. Ruturaj Gaikwad started by thrashing a full sitter, and the fielders followed their captain’s lead.
South African youngster Dewald Brewis, often cited as one of the world’s most acrobatic fielders, also dropped a catch, but it was not very easy.
