Former Indian wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel boldly claimed that if Joe Root could not break Sachin Tendulkar’s world record for the most runs in Test cricket, it would be extremely difficult for any batsman in the future.
Recently, Parthiv was asked in a light manner whether Root should consider not to exclude Sachin Tendulkar’s world record from honor, just as the Vian Malder of South Africa had done to save the record of 400 runs of Brian Lara last month.
Parthiv Patel wants
Patel dismissed the idea, saying that he was not happy with the move of Vian Malder and was making it clear that such gestures are not necessary when you are chasing greatness. Route recently finished second in the All-Time Test Run-Scorers list, extending previous legends such as Rahul Dravid, Jacques Kallis and Ricky Ponting, which was after scoring 150 against India in the ongoing fourth test.

Former England captain’s tally now scored 13,409 runs, which is a total of 15,921 to 2,512 of Tendulkar in the pure form of the game. And Parthiv believes that Root is the only active player who has a real shot in breaking that world record.
Parthiv Patel said on Star Sports, “They should not do so at all. I don’t agree what the Mulder did because when that record was broken (before Lara), it was Matthew Haydon against Zimbabwe in Perth.”
“They didn’t say at that time. If you are in that position, why not? The route is the only one that has come close to the record. Earlier, people used to talk about how to break the record.”
Parthiv Patel says that only the route can break the world record of Sachin Tendulkar
Cricket Pandit has insisted that the route is likely to chase that anyone has the best chance because Test cricket is not played often, and no other current player is close to that clan.
Patel signed, saying, “But in reality, if anyone can challenge this record, it is a route. If he cannot do it, it will be even more difficult because Test cricket is not played as much now, and no one is close to that amount. If you have to cross 15,921, it will be very difficult;
In particular, the comparison was due to the recent decision of Vian Mulder as the recent decision to announce South Africa’s innings when he was just 34 runs less than Brean Lara’s breaking the highest personal score in Test cricket. Mulder later admitted that he could choose differently if another chance is given, especially Lara encouraged him to go for it.
